I am trying to take values entered into a scaffold input, which utilizes List Data, and produce an IF ELSE report.

Essentially, I would like to reproduce the results of the following articles:

Summary: Create an IF ELSE statement using Reporting to display Status Macro selected from a Scaffolding form

The second article even provides two methods of achieving this, neither one working for me:

  1. A Local Reporter employs parameter (key): data:mystatus > collection:first > text:find: Approved. The Local Reporter is inside a Report Block, and the report block is inside a Report Column. The Local Reporter is accompanied by Report Body (which contains the status block).
  2. Same layout where the Local Reporter is inside a Report Block, and the report block is inside a Report Column. However, the Local Reporter just points to @self, and within is a Text Filter macro which employs key data:mystatus and INCLUDE .*Approved.*

In both methods my results are the same; a report table where the column header is displayed along with a blank row below.

As a test, if I modify method two where instead of the Text Filter using the INCLUDE regex, I leave INCLUDE blank and put a value in Maximum Length, at least that creates an entry in the report.

Does the issue come down to text matching?

  • Does the first method fail to text:find match to the output of the scaffold entry?
  • Does the second method fail in the Regex?

Not even sure what else to do to diagnose this. I'm using Confluence 5.8.18.
Anyone with any ideas where to begin my troubleshooting?
