The functionality you are looking for is not part of User Profiles for Confluence at the moment.
However, I've created an issue in our JIRA in order to track the idea as a potential feature: https://jira.communardo.de/browse/UPP-764.
This way it may be included in a future release, but we do not have a timeframe for it yet.
If you would like to add anything to the feature request, let me know and I'll make sure to add it to the issue.
You can by the way synchronize fields from AD. In that case, users will not be able to edit them.
