Hi*
Someone, who knows a plugin for the Chrome Browser to open office documents directly from Confluence, when using the Arsenale Lockpoint Plugin? Just implemented in Firefox and IE. Most of our users are using the Chrome Browser.
Thanks for help,
Björn
Hi Björn,
As you might already know, the Edit in Office functionality is actually provided by the underlying Atlassian Office Connector plugin and not Lockpoint itself. We definitely agree with you that Chrome support would be very helpful, but unfortunately, we can do little ourselves except wait for Atlassian to implement the underlying feature in the Office Connector.
If you are interested, it may help to watch and/or vote on CONF-23322, which is the underlying feature request that you're asking for. If nothing else, watching the issue will give you updates on Atlassian's plans to implement (or not implement) the feature.
To follow up on this answer...as also noted in the issue linked above, a number of our users are successfully using the IE Tab for Chrome to get the edit-in-office capability that they need. While it's not a perfect solution, it works much better than having to fire up a separate browser!
