Hi there, I have a question about the editor when a new page is created in a course module. I've just installed the cloud version of Courses and Quizzes for Confluence in order to trial it.
When a new page is created, it opens an unfamiliar version of the Confluence editor. The layout and general appearance are different, and all menus and content being edited appear in Times New Roman font. There are some options in the editor, such as "Add New Section", that are greyed out and don't seem to be available. When I close the page, Confluence then offers to convert it to a "new editing experience".
Once converted, the editor and the content appear as they usually do in Confluence. However, "Add New Section" and related functions are gone.
Am I experiencing some kind of issue, or is this intended editor behaviour/appearance?
Thanks,
Laura
Hi Laura,
Thank you for reaching out. At the moment, new pages are created using the Legacy editor: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/learn-about-confluence-cloud-editing-improvements/
We are going to change that in the near future. I can let you know when it's done.
It's an issue for you, you can create pages outside of a course for now. They will be made in the new editor. Once created, you can add those pages into a course as an existing page: https://docs.stiltsoft.com/izi-confluence-lms/cloud/courses/intro-to-course-management#IntrotoCourseManagement-Existingpageorquiz
If you prefer, we can continue this conversation on our Support Portal:

Kind regards,
Katerina
Thanks Katerina! I think it will be easier to create pages outside the course right now, just to skip the additional step; thanks for the tip. I'd love to hear when the editor is updated.
