Create Issue post function does not copy attachment Jira 7.12.1

Linda H December 17, 2018

Everything I read says place the Create Issue Post function after the "Update change history for an issue and store the issue in the database" post function, but there is no update change history post function in my list.  I have just these three post function:  1.Creates the issue originally, 2.Re-index an issue to keep indexes in sync with the database and 3.Fire an Issue

No matter where I place Create Issue post function, the issue does get created, but the attachment is not copied over.  I have tried several combinations for "Attachments" but no luck.

I actually got this to work, but not with Issue Collector.  I want to create a request with Issue Collector that has an attachment and have 2 duplicate issues created in Jira that include the attachment.  Can this be done?

Hi @Linda H,

We are able to reproduce the issue and working on it internally with our development team on issue collector.

We have created a support request on our portal behalf of you. I would request you to share your email id. So that we can add you as the request participant to the ticket. This will give you the access to the ticket.

Hi @Linda H,

If you place the postfunction in the below way(please see the below attached screenshot), You will be able to copy the attachments from the parent issue. If this is not working for you, we would like to see the postfunction that you have configured. Please share the screenshot of the postfunction.

Thanks,

Hi Sravya,

Thank you for the response.   If I create the issue from Jira all copies are created with attachments, works as expected.    Creating from the Issue Collector, creates all the issue copies, but only puts the attachment on the original, not on the copies.  I tried linking it, as you have, but that would not copy over the attachments.  I tried checking the transition attachments box, no luck. I tried changing the order, no luck.
