I need to create a ticket in 'project Z' when I create a new ticket in 'project A', but I want 'project Z' to be an input in the 'project A' ticket form. I was hopping to use smart values, but the target project is chosen from a drop down in the create action, I cannot use a smart value there.
Is there something I am missing? Anybody knows of an alternative?
Thanks a lot.
You could check out Elements Copy & Sync as an alternative. There you can select the target project dynamically based on a drop down list.
Thanks for your answer. I could not find a way to create the ticket on a project based on a field in the original ticket.
I found this question, though, it provides some sort of solution using automation for jira:
