I have what I imagine is one of the simplest possible use cases for this plugin, yet I can't get it to work. All I want to do is automatically create a subtask with a particular name ("Test") whenever its parent issue gets created. When I publish the rule, nothing happens when I create new issues, and the "Automation -> Rule Executions" field on the newly created issue doesn't show any rule executions. What could possibly be preventing this rule from executing?
I also tried an alternate approach, where I have it automatically create a "Test" subtask whenever an issue is transitioned from "To Do" to any other status. This rule DOES execute, and does approximately what I want, but the problem is that if ever the parent issue is transitioned back to "To Do" and then back to "In Progress" again, it creates the "Test" subtask once more. Is there any way to check whether there is already a subtask named "Test" on the same parent issue? I couldn't figure out how to do this with JQL and smart values.
Are there any other easy ways to accomplish what I'm looking for?
Thanks!
The form didn't let me submit more than one image as it said I'd exceeded 20k characters. Here's a screenshot of the second rule I mentioned.
