Hi Team,
We have 2 fields called : Date R&D Delivery and Date into working.
We have put them on Edit and View screen, I have cleared their values using JSU post function on create transition, still they came on the view screen with the system date.
Please find attached screenshot for the same.
They should come on the view screen on one of the transition with the dates provided by the user, but from initial state they got populated with the system date.
Kindly please provide the solution for it.

Hi Neeta,
First, I would check the default value for the custom fields.
Go to Settings > Issues > Custom Fields
Search for your field and then click the ellipsis menu (3 dots) on the right) and choose Contexts and default value.
See if it is putting in the system date (or Now or something like that).
Otherwise, It has to be some kind of post function or automation that is populating the fields on create. You will need to search for those. Removing the function that is populating them is better than trying to mask over it by removing the value after the fact.
Hi John,
Thanks for your quick response.
There is no option like 3 dots on the of the field, see screenshot below.
My problem is its taking a system value and gets populated on view screen with the system date, so I tried to clear it out on the create transition using post function, but i think its wrong as post function works after transition, so thats the reason the date is coming, once I move to other transition the date field disappeared, as I have added clear field value.
But is there any way to clear it at very first stage, can we achieve it using validator, behavior, please suggest.

Ah, it looks like you are using the Server version. Click on Configure and see if there is a Default value there.
Behavior should work to clear it if you have that. I don't so I don't know the exact syntax for that.

Default value is not mentioned, see screenshot:
Can you suggest any way to clear it when issue gets created.

I am not understanding why its taking system date by default.
I have not mentioned anywhere, i have checked all configuration, all looks fine.
Using post function its not working, it will not work as well, as post function are working after the transition.
I want those fields to be cleared before transition, how do I achieve this?

I would go ahead and open a support ticket with Atlassian. In my opinion, you still need to find out how those fields are getting populated first - that's more concerning to me.
Please post back here what you find out. :-)
