Does a scan have a heavy influence on network usage?

From your experiance, is a scan heavy process in terms of network? Would you reccomend doing it at night?

Hi Marcin,

no you can use it at any time.

The network load per host is around 400kb

and the cpu usage at the remote system around 2% (depend on the system)

We recommend to use a separate system for the discovery tool

because that system handles a lot of objects and will use the memory.

To avoid impacts to other services we recommend to use the discovery tool on a server that is not running any other "relevant" services. (That should be normal for any kind of "critical" services)
