Enabled option "Load macro dynamically" leads to empty pages in PDF-Export

Mediengruppe Magdeburg April 11, 2016

When using option "Load macro dynamically" with a pocket query makro, PDF-Export of the page shows no content of this query. Is this normal behavior? What are the limitations when I disable "Load macro dynamically"?

Hi Michael,

Yes, this is normal behaviour. If you chose dynamic load, the PDF renderer won't load the PocketQuery result asynchronously and the result will be an empty container.

So if you need to export to PDF you must disable this feature. Dynamic load is simply a performance benefit since the page load won't be delayed by the PocketQuery macro. If the performance is good for you without dynamic load, you can go this way easily. Dynamic load should be considered a "gimmick" in general.
