Hi!
I managed to install PowerReport and BIRT viewer - not so trivial but the "BIRT viewer has been installed." page comes up now. Modified the powerreport jar config file, but nothing happens. I can't select the gadget on the dashborad.
When I try to disable/enable it I am getting these errors in the jira log...
2013-03-06 13:38:33,427 http-bio-8980-exec-21 ERROR blabla 818x3161x1 fu7ff4 192.168.1.215 /rest/plugins/1.0/com.valiantys.jira.plugins.reporting-key/modules/jar-gadget-key [plugenta.jiraauditor.transformers.ModuleRestUrlToPluginNameTransformer] Error obtaining data for plugin URL /rest/plugins/1.0/com.valiantys.jira.plugins.reporting-key/modules/jar-gadget-key: java.lang.NullPointerException
What did I forget to do?
Hi Bernd, could you send us the content encoding error you are seeing? It may help us to find out what's going on.
Cheers
Hi Bernd,
Please try disabling our JIRA Auditor plugin and see if this improves situation.
The errors in the log that you are getting are from it. Not sure if it is related or not but might be worth checking.

Hmm - this seems to be port related...
We are running JIRA under Linux, so we cannot use ports below 1024 for various reasons. It runs on port 8980.
The URL, however, uses basic http (port 80), and the translation happens on the server using iptables - kind of a proxy functionality.
If I use the URL with the 8980 port I can select the gadget and see my sample report definition, but I can't do anything with it. Every click results in a content encoding error...
Odd - what now? Any ideas?
