Error with Python JIRA Cli

has anyone encountered this problem when running the Python JIRA CLI?

FWIW, there may be other special characters that cause SAXParseException, like what I ran into on JIRA 5.0.7:

[31mOn Linux, this line is displayed in red.[0m

I have tracked the problem down to a special character within the description field. This character is not visible in the editor nor the GUI. After removing the character from the specific issue the CLI now works as expected.
