Fill inn fields in a excel document

Hello.

First off, we are running the Server version of Jira.

We are looking to automate ordering off certain hardware trough Jira, however as we ourselves need to order this from a external party who requires us to send inn orders by filling out a Excel sheet I would like to automate the creation of this. So Basicly, what I need is to take a template of a Excel file, then have Jira update certain fields in it based on what is filled out by the user in the order during a predetermined part of the workflow. Is something like this even possible? And if so, how would I set it up?

Hi Roger and Ilya,

Ilya, thank you for suggesting Xporter.

Roger,

Xporter does not integrate with Automation for jira yet. The good news are: Xporter is working on the integration with Automation for Jira, this will be available on next minor version 6.4(version in progress).

Thank you.

Cheers,

Rui Rodrigues.
