For anyone else reading this post, this other post confirms that Atlassian are dropping support for the plugin.
I don't think so. We just updated to 8.2.2 and the JIRA Calendar Plugin does not provide an update option. The plugin's marketplace page shows 5.0 as being compatible with 8.1.1. Nevertheless, we tried installing by adding it to the plugin folder and restarting JIRA, but the service hung when loading. I'd like Atlassian to chime in just to let us know if they will be upgrading or if we meant to be looking for an alternative.
