How can the required hours be correctly determined if user switches between workload schemes?

Richard Bergmann January 19, 2016

If the users workload is reduced from 100% to 80% on a specific date, how will this influence the calculation of the required hours?

Example:

User works 100% in the first month, required hours = 20d x 8h = 160h for the first month

Beginning of the second month, user switches to 80%, required hours = 16d x 8h = 128h for the second month

At the end of the second month, I want to compare the users required vs. worked hours. Will Tempo take into account the change of the workload scheme? I would expect: 160h + 128h = 288h required hours for the two months.

Or will it calculate according only to the current scheme (128 x 2)?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Richard,

the team membership can be split in availability and member role. Please refer to attached screenshot.

Hope this helps and answers your question

Thanks for the fast response @Alexander Eck

Unfortunately this does not answer my question completely. If you assign the user to the team for different periods, the required hours for the team are correct, but when you look at the timesheet for the user, the required hours are always calculated based on his workload scheme and not his availability in a certain team. Do you have a solution suggestion?

Best regards

Richard,

yes this is correct. The timesheet will always lookup the current workload scheme.

Alexander
