Hi Chad,

you did not mention if you were already using an add-on for workflow extensions. If not, you can certainly achieve your goal using JMWE for JIRA Server or JMWE for JIRA Cloud, depending on which JIRA platform you're using. You would be using the "Set Field Value" post-function (the exact syntax depends on whether you are on Server or Cloud).
