How to import rows fron excel only to jira importer plugin , but not from csv

I would like to import rows from excel into jira and create issues, but i dont want to use from csv importer plugin.

I am trying to create my own custom plugin which allows to import Excel file . but i had not found any where .

can any one help me in doing so ?
