We use tempo for work logging and "work log" button is available only from detailed issue screen (atttached).
It is inconvinient for them to open issue every time in a new tab. They would like to be able to start timer from the short desctiption of the issue, wneh it is located on the right side on the screen or when it is opened in the modal window. Both screens contain much less information than on attached screen.
How to add field "Worklogs" to them? I am totally lost in the Jira screen settings.

Do you want to be able to log work in this kind of screen? (check below screenshot)
Because as you can see it, it's possible from the queue, to add it too.
If it's not here, could you please send us an screenshot from the screen where do you want to log work?

I just found the root of the problem. Jira silently switched Issue's interface to "new issue" view. It looks much different and does not have "work log field". I had to switched it off to return to the normal view. In my opinion, the new view is very inconvinient(
