How to link Zephyr TestCycle to TestPlan via api?

Documentation says "links" are ignored during update

https://support.smartbear.com/zephyr-scale-cloud/api-docs/#operation/updateTestCycle

Is there a way to create cycle with link to the plan, or update cycle later using API?
