How to set up scheduler for non admin staff team member

Dear all,

A member of our would like to start using the Jira plugin scheduler: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/37456/the-scheduler.

However when he tries to install the free trial version he gets:

Only administrators can set up trails for paid applications.

Any thoughts on what it should do to make sure he can start using scheduler?
