I there a way to suppress the comments coming from checklist when items are checked?

Hi Michael,

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't receive any notice about this question.

I do not understand the question. Which comments are you talking about? Are you talking about what is written in the history tab? Customfields are required to provide the changes that were made to it by JIRA. And to my knowledge, I don't think there's a way to prevent it. It acts as audit trail for JIRA.
