Import Word 2013 Doc

When I attempt to import a Word 2013 doc, I get the following error: The following error(s) occurred: The selected file is not a valid binary Word 97-2003 document

I'd previously uploaded using Word 2010, which I no longer have on my new laptop. Is there a fix?

As a workaround you can save your word-file in office 2010 or 2003-2007 format. just change the file-type while saving your document.
