Importing information from more then one scan

Hi :)

Situation:

1. Discovery program makes 1 scan per day. My Insight imports data once per week. How will it exactly import all 7 scans? Will it impot all data and make all changes till latest scan? Or will it import only most recent information from all scans? Or maybe only information from recent scan?

2. I have a few discovery programs scanning once per day. My insight imports data once per day. So I have a few different scans from different networks. What if a host was in two or more scans? From which scan will information appear?

Hi Marcin,

the files in the import folder will be ordered by the date

in the file name. Then only the oldest file will be imported

the rest will stay due the next import.

We recommend that your import schedule should be setup more often than the Discovery Tool delivering data.

I hope that can answer your question,

because it depends on how often the import will proceed over the available files in the import folder.
