Information on licenses subscription and the costs associated with licenses subscription upgrade

We are considering upgrading our Jira data center license subscription from the current 500-tier to the next tier, which I believe is 1000. As we have already purchased 500 licenses that are valid until February 2023, I'm unsure about the cost for upgrading to the 1000-tier. The tool displays a price of $72,000, which is higher than what we paid for the 500-tier. Can some one please assist me in determining the accurate cost for upgrade?
