Inline comment not working for flat tree mode

I am using a plugin to display flat tree for a space where it will render content of the tree and display it in flat tree mode. In that scenario inline comment doesn't appear . Is there already a plugin where we can display flat tree and inline comments works for that plugin or is there any fix so that inline comment will work on my plugin .
