Could you please suggest the best way to configure Jira to talk to service now whether through webhook or rest-api or some plugin.
Currently there is a plugin from ConnectAll for Jira for this type of integration but isn't free for the adapter which it needs us to purchase. We already have a "Send to Jira" link in service now and would want that to submit an issue in Jira which we can achieve via issue-collector, but how do we have the bi-directional traceability here so that any update to the same issue also updates accordingly back in SERVICE-NOW.
We are just looking for a basic bi-directional for a trial period and nothing more than that.
Please advise.

You can check with these folks if they have a trial edition. I know they have a trial edition for their other product.
