I'm attempting to setup a structure where multple synchronizers are required to populate different parts of the structure. Some issues, correctly in my design, should be pulled into both parts of the structure. Meaning, the same issue is returned by multiple synchronizers in the same structure.
It appears as though this creates a conflict. Is this something that is meant to be supported? Or is it a limitation?
Hello Randy,
Structure does not allow any issue to appear more than once in a single structure, so the behaviour you are observing is correct.
This functionality (allowing an issue to appear in multiple places within the same structure) is planned for version 3.0 - you can vote for and follow this feature on our uservoice forum. Any suggestions you have will be welcome there, too!
Best,
Robert
@Randy Abson - Structure 3.0 lets you have multiple 'copies' of the same issue in the same structure. It also has a new automation feature that uses 'Generators' as an optional alternative to synchronizers. They're much more visual and intuitive and you configure them right inside the structure you're working with.
Please refer to the release notes for detailed instructions on migrating from 2.x
Cheers!
Robert
