JQL syntax for attachmentname in Smart Attachments add on?

We are using the Smart Attachments add-on to identify all issues with a specific type of attachments.  I applied a JQL as follows in our JIRA global search, but see no results in the query, which is incorrect since I can manually select issues from the project and see tla attachments.

Can you advise how to adjust the query? 

project = "EXAMPLE" and attachmentName ~ pdf
