Jira Dashboard Question

JIra:
I created a dashboard for some reporting and added multiple Next Gen projects to see work across multiple jira projects and when I do the the statuses are not combing. 

When I look at in the filter view it looks like the same field is this becauase of the way Next Gen is set up? Is there a way to combine statuses accross Next Gen Projects?
