Jira snippet plugin for JIRA server

I installed the JIRA snippet plugin for microsoft edge and installed and configured it. I am using JIRA server v8.20.27. The plugin installed and I was able to configure the field to be copied. It shows up on right click, and allows me to choose plugin from drop down, but does not copy anything to the clipboard. What could I be missing?
