Project Pivot Gadget overloads Jira. Performance Issue.

Hi all,

We have performance issue caused by Project Pivot Gadget.

Instance is rather huge: 1000+ projects and 60000 groups.

Once gadget is added to dashboard, dashboard extremely hangs, gadget greps almost all projects & groups in DB.

Thus, instance performance decreases rapidly.

How can we optimize gadget's job? Or the only solution its disabling?

Hi Eugene,

If the issue is with just added gadget, when it needs to be configured, so that groups and projects are loaded, I think nothing can be done at the moment. There is Exclude Projects configuration in Administration - Add-ons - Timesheet Configuration, which may slightly improve situation, but there is no similar config for Groups yet.

Then, I guess, there is no solution for us but disabling the gadget..
