Hi,
I remember that in the old version of Atlassian Marketplace it was possible to view download history of the specific version of the plugin. That was also including charts. It was very useful when I was searching for a good plugin. Now I cannot see this option.. Is this still available somewhere?
Hi Mirek,
According to our analytics, this feature was not commonly used and we recently deprecated it. We recommend that you now use the active installation count that we report for each plugin. Unlike the download counts, which were cumulative over time, the active installation number is the actual number of instances that are active and have the plugin installed, so the number can go up or down as a plugin becomes more or less active. While the numbers might be lower than the sum of all downloads, we believe they are more indicative of the actual popularity of any given plugin. You should use these, along with a plugin's ratings, reviews, and Atlassian Verified status, to get a sense of the overall quality of a plugin.
Cheers,
Dave Meyer - Marketplace PM
In that case why not having a chart that will be including active installation number? This could show quickly when a specific plugin was more o less active? When having only number it is hard to say if is going down or up.. chart is showing that in a second.
