I've used the Automation plugin to create a Problem ticket with an Incident is closed and automatically linking them.
I'd also like to add a custom comment to the trigger issue (Incident) link a link to the newly created issue (Problem). Something along the line of:
"Problem record {{Link to New Issue}} was created and linked to this Incident. Please complete the root cause analysis in that ticket. "

John from Automation for Jira here. If I understand correctly, then yes this can definitely be done.
You will need just three building blocks:
*In the comment, the smart value you want to use is {{createdIssue.key}}
