Atlassian Bot Session Killer (version 1.7). Will this be compatible with latest versions of JIRA?

It sure would help if Atlassian would update their description for "Bot Session Killer" on Marketplace in order to clarify this, but I think that the plugin is now either:

• bundled with newer versions of JIRA

or is:

• redundant because it now forms part of core functionality.

I suspect the latter. I say this based on stuff that I rember reading, but now cannot find. However, there is this resolved issue (read the comment by Luis Miranda in September 2012).
