Custom field for linking issues

Hi,

I need to create a custom field which will only accept JIRA issue keys. While on issue Project1-Issuex when people enter other issue's keys ( for example Project2-3) to the custom field, there should be an automatic link between those two issues.

This link between issues should appear in Issue Link tab. Is this possible?

I'm not sure there's a way to do this with ScriptRunner.  Your best option is to use the issue link functionality.
