We have a dynamic select field from the Dynamic Forms add-on that shows or hides custom fields depending on its option. We know that by design, the dynamic select field cannot be edited in the view screen due to technical limitations.
But until recently the custom fields revealed by a specific dynamic select option have still been fully editable on the view screen. However, since the latest update of the add-on (1.10.2) these custom fields are now no longer editable on view screen either. Both the dynamic select and its custom field "children" now all have to be adjusted in the edit screen instead.
Is this a bug or do I need to set something after the update?
Yes, we have blocked inline edit for Dynamic Forms Custom Fields. As you said because e.g. we can't validate field requirements during the inline edit. Is a big limitation for you disabling this functionality?

Did you just do this for update 1.10.2? It worked before for normal custom fields. Dynamic fields are blocked, but we've known that for a long time. If normal custom fields are also blocked because of being "supervised" by a Dynamic field, then that's new.

It's annoying but if there's a good technical reason why they also have to be blocked then I guess we'll have to learn to live with it.

Yes, we disabled inline edit for dynamic Fields from 1.10.2 also for fields that are "managed" by dynamic Field. We will discuss to provide a flag in our plugin configuration enable/disable inline edit for dynamic fields.
