Date format is not working when importing issues via JExcel

I am trying to import some issues using JExcel plugin and any time I have the date picker field as one of the import values, my import fails with the "failed to parse the  value"date ".

I made sure that my Jira date format matches the excel date format and I still cant get this to work  ...

Can you please provide assistance on this ?
