Does "Cascading Select" fields works on a condition of a transition??

We have OnDemand version.
I have 2 parent fields (math, english) with lots of childs for each parent field in a cascading select list.
So, on a condition of a transition I d like to have conditions depending on those 2 parent fields.
Is this possible?
If not, is there a workaround?

Ricardo, you could use Jamie Echlin's Groovy script runner but I think that is not available for OnDemand.
