Editing sharepoint documents which are embedded in confluence wiki page

Im using sharepoint connector version 1.4.9 and confluence 3.4.7

If I embed a sharepoint document in confluence, while clicking on the link a read only version of that document is getting opened.

Can't I edit the sharepoint document directly by using confluence wiki with above mentioned versions?

The recent version of sharepoint connector 1.6 is having this edit feature, dont we have this feature in 1.4.9?
