Hi David,
The error you are seeing might be due to incomplete configuration of the plugin.
The first time you install the plugin, you have to go to Configuration page, which you can access from UPM by clicking the Configure/Get Started button.
On the Configuration page, you will see a Complete Configuration button on top, which when clicked, creates all the required components of the plugin. This will fix the error you are seeing now.
