Groovy runner plugin - what programming language?

I'd like to know what programming languages uses the script runner plugin when I edit a scripted field?

Hi,

For the Script Runner plugin previous versions supported only Groovy, but as of v1.6 it will support anything that is compliant with JSR-223, for example Groovy, Python (jython), Ruby (JRuby), JavaScript etc.

That is completely correct, except scripted fields only support groovy.
