Hi,
the Herzum approval addon is working great for the approval process, but we would like to continue to show who approved and when after the issue changes its status. At the moment, after everyone approve the approval panel disappears.
The information is in the issue comment, but it's not very user friendly to have to run through all comments to find a specific approver. We could use a scripted field to parse the comments, but it would be difficult (to account reopening, different approvals for different steps) and prone to errors and hard to maintain.
We would like also have a way to bulk approve issues.
Finally, we would like to change the text shown in the blue button that replaces the transition button to make clearer for users that it re-sends emails.
Thank you
Hi Stefano,
Approval add-on v. 2.10 is going to include the following features:
I expect that the listed features meet all your needs.
A new 'Approval Global Setting' screen will allow to customize Approval labels displayed on the issue (including 'Notify Approvers').
The Advanced Approval Configuration screen will be extended by allowing to define an approval as multi group picker OR Users. In this way Change Managers will be able to approve on behalf of every group, without having to be added to the groups.
The E-mail Template Configuration screen will be extended by allowing to customize E-mail priority based on the validity of a condition respecting the JQL sintax (e.g. issue type='Emergency').
I hope it encounters your expectations.
Best Regards
Hello Stefano,
we are currently working on the add-on v. 2.9 that will provide new features required by some of our customers.
The features you have required will be provided by our add-on v. 2.10 ( due date September 29):
I hope it encounters your plans.
I'm not sure how to improve the text shown in the blue button that replaces the transition.
Do you think that 'Notify Approvers' can be more expressive then 'Request Approvals'?
Any suggestion is welcome.
Best Regards
Antonella

Hi Antonella,
that's excellent news!
Regarding the label, maybe it's something could be changed in a property file within the plugin jar? Notify approvers would be better, but being able to change that ourself (depending of customer's requirements) would be perfect. Thank you

Hi Antonella,
we have a couple of more questions about the addon.
We are currently using a multi group picker for the approval configuration. Change Managers would like to be able to approve on behalf of every group, without having to be added to the groups.
We would also like to be able to customize email templates a bit more: having different texts for different issue type and maybe other properties. For example we have an "Emergency" issue type and email should have Priority=High so people will notice it immediately.
Thank you,
Stefano
