How can I downgrade from 2.3 to 2.2.x ?

We started to have some issues with third party plugins (Scaffolding "Text Data" macro lost content formating ability) after upgrade of Universal Plugin Manager to 2.3. I would like to downgrade but run into problems:

1) Can't upload a plugin with smaller version (like 2.2.4)

2) Can't uninstall it first (to install an older version)

Downgrading an UPM version is actually a very hard and tricky process.

You should open a ticket at SAC and in the comment field explain why do you need to do this downgrade. The support engineers will help you with that or even show you a workaround for your issue.
