I would like to customise the menu so that there is an Export to PDF button on the page, to help reduce the time it takes the documentation team in our company to generate PDF versions of user manuals.
I would like to implement the following:
The Export to PDF button allows the page, along with its child pages (and child pages of the child pages), to be exported to PDF, without having to go to Browse > Space Admin > Advanced > PDF Export > Custom Export.
I’m pretty new to Confluence, and so I was wondering what tools are available out there to achieve this purpose.
I've not really found a definite answer to this question, but I reckon this is the closest I can get to resolving my own issue:
The k15t Scroll PDF plugin has a feature that allows a user to export a page and its child pages to PDF using the plugin UI. You can save configurations that you make for PDF exports, so that you can export PDFs at a later point in time without having to re-do the configurations.
Currently, the saved configurations can only be accessed using the UI, and there is no option of generating PDFs with the saved configurations using a customized Export to PDF button. However, the developers of the plugin have a feature that they're working on which allows for PDFs to be exported (refer to https://k15t.jira.com/browse/PDF-258).
Hi Ana,
yes, we'll implement this feature in Scroll PDF Exporter 3.0, which we are going to release in the next weeks.
I hope that implementation will meet your needs as good as possible.
Cheers,
Nils

Hi Sanet,
if you watch the Scroll PDF Exporter in the Atlassian Marketplace (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.k15t.scroll.scroll-pdf), you'll get a notification as soon as we've released version 3.0 and you can download a 30-day trial version.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Nils

Hi Sanet,
we are currently finalizing Scroll PDF Exporter, fixing final bugs, writing the documentation and the marketing stuff. So we will be able to release it at the end of July.
Thank you for your patience.
Cheers,
Nils

Thank you Nils :-).
Do you have a 3.0 trial version I can dowload?

Do you have a release date for Scroll PDF Exporter 3.0? Like Ana mentioned, we need all our Confluence users to be able to export their own PDFs, so we are anxiously awaiting this release :-).
