How to Clone and link issue on transition using Clone+/++

When a user selects transition - 'Passed QA' they want to create an issue in a different project copying fields from the current issue. Is there a postfuction that will create a clone issue upon transition of the parent issue. Is there a way to create a clone issue on transition on JIRA 7.2.3 using Clone Plus addon

Thanks!

No, Clone Plus does not have post functions. However, Create on Transition for JIRA has the Create Issue post function that has options for copying fields from the original issue just like clone.

Do you need  a postfuction that will create a clone issue upon transition in same or different project?

Hi Alexander,

I am also looking for similar functionality, need clone issues (number of issues to be cloned based on one parent issue custom field value and these values to be copied one by one into cloned issues of another custom field) in same project upon specific transition.

For example:

For example if my parent JIRA isue 'My components' custom field value = DB, Scripts, Dev in a JIRA issue INN-XXXX

We need to clone 3(THREE - it's based on number values present in 'My components' field) INN-???, INN-@@@ and INN-$$$$ JIRA issues by filling::

1) 'DB' value into "sub-system" custom field(i,e copied from My components' custom field value1)  in first Cloned JIRA issue,

2) 'Scripts' value into 2nd Cloned JIRA issue's "sub-system" custom field(i,e copied from My components' custom field value2)

3) 'Dev' value into 3rd Cloned JIRA issue's "sub-system" custom field(i,e copied from My components' custom field value3)
