How to add work hours from another Epic to Structure

Here is the situation : 

I have a structure.  Within the structure, there will be one task that really is a Jira Epic outside of the structure.  I want to be able to get the work hours logged for that Epic into my structure.  How can I achieve that?

Hi AJ,

Do I understand correctly that the task is a placeholder for some other issue? In that case unfortunately Structure would know nothing about the original issue. Could you elaborate on you usecase: why do you need to keep that Epic outside of structure, how is it linked to the task in the structure, etc.? Perhaps I can suggest an alternative solution.
