How to delete the current version of a page

I have a page with the free service rocket page approval macro.  It works well.  I edited the page when trialling another macro on this page, then saved it (which was my mistake).  The signatures in the page approval macro are lost, which is what always happens when you edit the page.  So I thought "I'll restore the last version with the date stamped signatures, no problem", but when you do this, the signatures are lost, as it appears that confluence sees this operation as being like an edit.

So not matter what I do it seems that I've lost this traceability on the live current version, which is frustrating.  Is there a way to solve this issue so everything goes back to before I mistakenly hit "save" and the signatures with the right date are there on the current version?

Hi Richard,

You can't delete the current version of a page. Restoring an earlier version of a page will actually update the page version. Since Page Approval tracks a page edit according to the page version, the approval status will be reverted to unapproved. To avoid such issue from happening, you might want to consider restricting the page from being edited.

The approvals are lost from the macro, I've not added a screenshot of this as there's not much to see on this!  The screenshot is of the page history, just to spell out the issue.  The CURRENT version when restored from v25 (or any other version) retains all the information except for the sign offs in the macro.  As you can see in actions, there is no option to delete the CURRENT version.
