That's the question isn't it? You will need to find what the users need and build that.. If we had the magic formula for it we'd all be doing it ;-)

Find a gap in the market, write app to fill it, sell app.

Or maybe even find an app that has lots of installs and good feedback (i.e. it's popular) - then build something better and sell it cheaper. I appreciate it's easy to say that but there's a lot involved in actually doing it!
