How to use/control the WBS Gantt the Manually scheduled setting?

I want all my linked tasks to auto calculate the dates.

In the manually scheduled column, I see most tasks with Blank and some with No. What does this mean?

Also my dates do not automatically recalculate when a new link is added until the predecessor task date is changed (even reloading doesn't update).

Hi,

 If you have No on the Manually mode column it means that task isn't manually scheduled, and a project row displays in Blank. If you want to stop Auto-correct schedule running, you need to enable the setting by clicking the editing icon and check the box and make it manually mode column to Yes. 
Date recalculation is not triggered until the predecessor date is manually changed in Gantt screen is actually this plugins current specification. I hope it will improve in the future.
