We are about to start using Jira and GreenHopper, and are in the configuration stage right now.
I have yesterday upgraded GreenHopper to the new 6.0 version. I tried to create a new project+board (GreenHopper menu; Agile -> Getting Started, I choose Scrum. I give project name, project key and project lead. I choose GreenHopper simplified workflow, and click Create).
I get the following error message:
• You do not have permission to share with Project: 'xxx'.
• The user 'NN' does not have permission to share with Project: 'xxx'.
So, what permissions do I lack, in order to be able to create the project and board???
My user (which I use when trying to create the project) HAS admin-permissions. If I log in as Superadmin instead, it IS possible to perform the creation, I don't get any error. But it should be possible to create the project for a normal admin as well, right?
The problem was related to permissions:
For every new project created it will be assign to the default permission scheme. However, in the default scheme, we didn't specify the "Browse Project" permission to the group who needed it, because we always use another permission scheme for projects in all other situations (and in that other scheme everything about permissions was correct). Therefore, the board could'nt be created when logged in as a member of that group that lacked browse permission in the default scheme.
You need the "Create Shared Objects" global permission in order to create a board.
